I was born and raised in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico (June 5, 1999). At the age of two, after showing rhythmic coordination, my parents enrolled me in the Conservatorio de las Rosas, where I studied until I was eighteen. I began with piano, later specialized in drums, and ultimately completed my studies with a focus on musical composition. During this period, I also learned to play various instruments such as guitar, bass, marimba, xylophone, melodica, and harmonica. My compositions were performed in the cities of Morelia, Guadalajara, and Monterrey.
At the age of twelve, my father bought me my first laptop, which allowed me to explore YouTube. With a webcam and the basic editing software Movie Maker, I began recording video blogs inspired by the creators of that time. This hobby grew into a deep interest in the possibilities of audiovisual media, leading me to teach myself Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop. In parallel, I started making short films with friends, as well as music covers that I uploaded to the platform. During this stage, I also became interested in acting. Thanks to my brother, who was in his first year at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC), I obtained a role in a one-minute film shot on 16 mm titled "La mano peluda". However, once on set, I realized that my true passion was behind the camera.
Growing up in a small city like Morelia, access to formal film education was limited. The International Film Festival of Morelia, the largest in Mexico, became my primary exposure to quality cinema. Attending every year during my teenage years became a ritual that strengthened my fascination with cinema’s ability to move me, particularly after watching About Time (2013) by Richard Curtis and Macbeth (2015) by Justin Kurzel.
During this stage, I found inspiration in various filmmakers who marked a turning point in my perception of cinema: Shinichirō Watanabe, Alfonso Cuarón, Guy Ritchie, Paolo Sorrentino, Nicolas Winding Refn, Akira Kurosawa, Sam Raimi, Richard Curtis, Danny Boyle, Steven Spielberg, and Fernando de Fuentes.
